Help Foster Children: Shop April 19 at Whole Foods in Riverdale Park
Whole Foods will donate 5% of its day's sales on 4/19 to Court Appointed Special Advocate

Attention shoppers! The new Whole Foods Market in Riverdale Park is donating 5% of its sales on April 19 to a nonprofit that trains volunteers to serve as court-appointed special advocates for foster children.
The natural food store, which opens on April 12 and is located at 6621-B Baltimore Avenue, says the recipient of its first “5% Day” will be Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASAs)/Prince George’s County.
“We’re honored and grateful,” said Ann Marie Binsner, Executive Director of CASA/Prince George’s County. “Whole Foods is recognizing our efforts to help children who have been removed from their homes and placed in foster care due to neglect and abuse.”

“We ask shoppers to show their support by shopping April 19 at Whole Foods Market in Riverdale Park,” Binsner said. “It will make a real difference in the lives of children who deserve a helping hand.”
Studies show that foster children with CASAs are far more likely to graduate from high school and escape poverty than those at-risk youngsters who don’t have the assistance of such dedicated volunteers.
