Students Gear Up For Last Day, Earn Awards
Several schools are hosting awards ceremonies for students moving onto middle or high schools.
Eighty three 5th- and 6th graders took home awards Monday after Riverdale Elementary School hosted an awards ceremony in their honor. Some of the fifth graders and all of the sixth graders will be moving onto middle school next year.
As Prince George's County Public School students gear up for the last school day on June 17, many schools are honoring those children moving onto their next stages of life.
William Wirt Middle is set to hold its award ceremony Tuesday at 6 p.m., while University Park Elementary will host their ceremony Thursday at 8:30 a.m.
