University Park Woman's Club Offers College Scholarships
Eligible high school students could receive $1,000 towards college.
UPDATE: The deadline has been extended from April 15.
The University Park Woman's Club is offering two $1,000 scholarship for local high school students.
The Doris McPhee award is available to a graduating senior of Northwestern High School. The student must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average and the award is financial need-based. Last year, , of Hyattsville, won the scholarship.

The University Park Woman's Club scholarship is for a graduating senior who resides in University Park or is a non-resident child or grandchild of a University Park Woman's Club member. The student also must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
The application is available on the town of University Park's website and the deadline is April 1, although UPWC scholarship chair Melody Lawrence said the deadline may be extended.
