William Wirt Middle To Get iPads in Classrooms
New technology in classrooms, makes learning easier.

Four Prince George's County Public School middle school students are getting a chance to learn with a popular, tranportable, piece of technology — the iPad.
William Wirt Middle School students, along with three other Title 1 middle schools like Buck Lodge Middle School in Adelphi, Charles Carroll Middle School in New Carrollton, and Nicholas Orem Middle School in Hyattsville, are in a pilot program for using iPads in classrooms, according to The Gazette.
Wirt Middle's Media Specialist Stacey Montgomery said although Wirt student won't receive theirs until next fall, she said some students have already been using iPads already for music composition, and apps dedicated to learning.

The iPads are helping students learn at their own pace and Buck Lodge Middle, according to the article.
Lynn McCawley, a county schools spokeswoman, told the Gazette, that the iPads were provided using Title 1 grant in partnership with Apple, Inc.
