$100K Rockville Scratch-Off Winner Plans to Pay Off Car
A Rockville dad who won $100K in a scratch-off game plans to pay off his car loan, then take his kids on a special vacation.

ROCKVILLE, MD — A Rockville man who bought several Maryland Lottery scratch-offs as part of his lunch purchase ate and scratched his way to a $100,000 top-prize win on the Bingo Gold game.
The retail manager plays a variety of $5 and $10 scratch-offs. “I only chose the Bingo Gold as the bin was full,” he said. After quickly scratching off the instant ticket, he took 20 minutes before noticing a winning diamond shape on one of the bingo boards on his ticket. Unsure if he had won, the 36-year-old went straight to the scanner to check his ticket.
“I usually do not get too excited about anything, but winning big like this was truly a momentous moment,” he told Maryland Lottery officials.

The Montgomery County father of two teenage children said they will benefit from his big win. “I will pay off my car first,” he said. “Then, I plan to take a nice vacation with my children. We all deserve to have an extra special one once in a while.”
The winning ticket was sold at the 7-Eleven store located at 18120 Georgia Ave. in Olney. For selling a top-prize scratch-off in the game, the store will receive a $1,000 bonus from the Lottery.
