2 Injured After Car Crashes Into Shoe Store In Rockville

Two people are injured after a car crashed into a shoe store in Congressional Plaza in Rockville, officials said.

ROCKVILLE, MD — Two people are injured after a car crashed into a shoe store in Rockville on Saturday evening, officials said.

The car slammed into Richey & Co. Shoes at 1643 Rockville Pike in Congressional Plaza at about 6:17 p.m., Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Service officials said.

The car was towed out of the store. A building inspector was called to examine the damages, officials said. It's unclear at this time what caused the crash, officials said.

Bethesda Magazine reports a store manger said a man and his wife were in the car.

There were two employees and a customer in the store at the time of the crash.

Richey & Co. Shoes is closed Monday. The manager told Bethesda Magazine they hope to reopen Tuesday.
