2 Teens Arrested In Strong-Arm Carjacking At Germantown Gas Station
Montgomery County Police arrested two teens they say attempted a strong-arm carjacking at a Germantown gas station on Saturday.

GERMANTOWN, MD — Montgomery County Police arrested a 16-year-old from Rockville and a 17-year-old from Washington, D.C. in connection to a strong-arm carjacking that happened Saturday afternoon at a Germantown gas station, according to a release.
Officers responded around 4:36 p.m., for the report of a carjackingat the Sunoco station in the 19200 block of Frederick Road. Detectives determined that the victim saw two teens running toward him after he had just finished pumping gas, according to police.
The two teens forced the victim's door open, grabbed him and then demanded his keys. They then tried to drive away, but were unable to because the car had a manual transmission, according to police. The two then fled the scene on foot.

Officers spotted the two teens around 5 p.m., in the 19000 block of Frederick Road. Following a brief foot chase, the officers took the teens into custody, according to the release.
The two teens were taken to the Montgomery County Central Processing unit and charged as adults with one count of carjacking and one count of conspiracy carjacking. They remain in custody without bond.
