2 Men Wanted In Attempted Armed Robbery At Exxon Station Near Rockville Town Center

ROCKVILLE, MD — Rockville City Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery at the Exxon Gas Station in the 200 block of N. Washington Street on Monday night, according to a release.

Investigators determined that around 8:15 p.m., a customer, who was filling up their car with gas was approached by two men. One of the men pointed a gun at the customer and demanded their keys.

Refusing the request, the victim drew the attention of other customers nearby. This prompted the two men to flee south on North Washington Street without taking the victim's car or any personal property, according to police.

On Tuesday, RCPD released a photo taken from surveillance video of the two suspects wanted in this case.

Anyone with information about this incident or who can identify the two men in the photo are asked to call the RCPD Criminal Investigations Unit at 240-314-8938. Detailed information can also be submitted online via the city's Anonymous Suspicious Activity Report.
