Man Grabs Buttocks Of Women Walking In King Farm Area Of Rockville: Police

Two women were assaulted while walking in the King Farm area of Rockville. The assailant grabbed the victims' buttocks, police said.

ROCKVILLE, MD — Rockville City Police are investigating two assaults that occurred recently in the King Farm community, according to a release.

In the first incident, officers responded around 4:30 p.m., on March 15 for the report of an assault in the Redland Boulevard and Piccard Drive area. The victim told police that an unknown man grabbed her buttocks before fleeing toward a nearby garage.

Police described the suspect as a Black man, standing 5-foot-10 and weighing 190 pounds, with short black hair. He was wearing a dark colored sweatshirt and sweatpants.

In the second incident, police responded to the area of Redland Boulevard and Gaither Road around 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday, after receiving the report of an assault. The victim told police that a man grabbed her by the buttocks and ran off.

The description of the suspect police released was similar to the one given in the March 15 incident: a short-haired black man about 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-10 in height and weighing 200 pounds. He was wearing black pants, black tennis shoes, and a black hooded puff coat, according to police.

In both incidents, police say the assaults were unprovoked and the victims were walking on the sidewalk.
