3 Attempted Murder Warrants Obtained After SUV Strikes 3 In Rockville
Rockville City Police are asking the public's help in locating the driver of a dark-colored SUV that struck three people on Thursday.
ROCKVILLE, MD — Rockville City Police obtained three arrest warrants for attempted murder in connection with three people, including a 79-year-old woman, being struck by a dark colored SUV on Thursday afternoon, according to Rockville City Police.
Officers responded around 2:36 p.m. to 199 East Montgomery Ave. for the report of multiple people being struck by a vehicle. The three victims, a 79-year-old woman and two men, ages 22 and 18, were taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for a variety of injuries. Although the 22-year-old was released, the other victims remained in serious condition, according to police.
Police obtained arrest warrants for three counts each of attempted murder and first-degree assault against 44-year-old Walter Giovanni Marquez-Aviles of Gaithursburg, whom they identified as the owner of the striking vehicle.
