3 Opportunities To Honor Martin Luther King Jr's Memory In Rockville

Rockville's Soulfull Cafe and Main Street Connect are providing community service opportunities on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

ROCKVILLE, MD —For many, Martin Luther King Jr. Day is an opportunity for people who wish to honor King's memory to use the day off from work to volunteer or take part in activities that promote social justice and inclusiveness.

In that spirit, Soulfull Cafe and Main Street Connect, downtown Rockville's inclusive community and café, are providing three opportunities for people to give back on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Volunteers can write cards to patients at Children's National Medical Center or make dog toys for the Lucky Dog Animal Rescue, from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m., on Jan 16, at Soulful Cafe, which is located at 50 Monroe Place in Rockville.
