3 Suspects Arrested in Metro Armed Robbery

Crime Solvers tipster helped close case in Shady Grove Metro Station robbery, according to Montgomery County Police.

Three suspects have been arrested in the armed robbery May 8, 2015, at the Shady Grove Metro Station, according to Montgomery County Police.

The arrests include Milton Forrest Graves Jr., 19, of the 4300 block of 23rd Parkway in Temple Hills; Daniel Edward Hurey, 19, of the 2100 block of Mississippi Avenue S.E., Washington D.C.; and Robert Delante Dawkins, 25, of the 3900 block of Northgate Place in Waldorf.

They’re accused of robbing a 17-year-old at gunpoint in the elevator at the Shady Grove station, according to police.

Surveillance video showed that at approximately 5:25 p.m. May 8, the victim and the three suspects entered an elevator at the Shady Grove station. Hurey allegedly retrieved a silver handgun from Grave’s backpack and pointed it at the victim. They took the victim’s property and wallet before exiting the elevator, according to police.

Detectives reportedly received a Crime Solvers tip and were able to identify Graves, Hurley, and Dawkins as the suspects involved in this armed robbery.

Graves, Hurey, and Dawkins were each charged with one count of armed robbery and one count of conspiracy to commit armed robbery. Graves is being held on a $250,000 bond, Hurey is being held on a $75,000 bond, and Dawkins is being held on a $250,000 bond.
