3 Teens Charged In Fallsgrove Neighborhood Robbery, Burglary
A Gaithersburg man and two juveniles are charged with a robbery and burglary near the Thomas Farm Community Center.

ROCKVILLE, MD — A Gaithersburg 19-year-old and two juveniles are charged with a robbery and burglary that happened earlier this month near the Thomas Farm Community Center. Rockville City Police officers on Aug. 6 responded to an armed robbery in the 700 block of Fallsgrove Boulevard, where a man was walking along the path near the Thomas Farm Community Center with his child.
Police say as the man attempted to walk past two teenagers near the footbridge, one male pulled out a semi-automatic handgun, pointed it at the victim and demanded his wallet and cell phone. The victim gave them his belongings and the robbers fled toward the Fallsgrove Village Center.
On Aug. 9, city police officers responded to the 700 block of Fallsgrove Boulevard for the report of three suspects sleeping in a vacant apartment. When apartment management staff entered the unit, the suspects fled, police say. Officers recovered evidence associated with the Aug. 6 robbery that had been left by the suspects in the apartment, according to a news release.

A day later, officers on patrol in the Fallsgrove area saw suspicious activity in the 100 block of Jersey Lane. Three subjects were detained while officers searched the area and determined that a home in that block had just been burglarized. Two other suspects were stopped a few blocks away on Darnestown Road and were identified and released.
Zackery Conrad Thompson, 19, of the 100 block of Brookes Avenue in Gaithersburg, was arrested and charged with one count of armed robbery and two counts of fourth-degree burglary. He is being held without bond at the Montgomery County Detention Center.

Charges are pending against two juveniles involved in the robbery and trespassing, police say.
