ROCKVILLE, MD — A North Bethesda woman is $50,000 richer after winning a third-tier prize in the Feb. 6 Powerball drawing. That's the same drawing a player from Washington state won the $754.6 million jackpot by matching every number, according to a release.
Even though the Montgomery County resident who's played Powerball for years missed out on the big prize, she's happy to be one of the three third-tier winners from Maryland.
"It was a nice blessing,” she told Maryland Lottery officials. “I guess I’m just about even.”
