$57K Worth of Cell Phones Stolen: Can You Hear Me Now?
A Sprint store in Aspen Hill was robbed of cell phones during a breakin. Police say the suspects may have also hit a store in Beltsville.

ASPEN HILL, MD — Thieves suspected in looting two cell phone stores made off with an estimated $57,000 worth of phones early Wednesday during a break-in, authorities say.
Montgomery County Police say the commercial burglary of a Sprint Store at 13605 Connecticut Ave. in the Aspen Hill area. Detectives are releasing surveillance video of the suspects and asking for the public’s help identifying the thieves.
A store employee who arrived to open the store for business called police about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday to report the breakin.

Video surveillance captured a pair of suspects as they entered the business’ rear door just after 6 a.m. One suspect pried open a safe and both suspects can be seen stealing cell phones from the safe. The suspects also took cash from the business and the men left the store at 6:25 a.m. with thousands of dollars of phones.
Police say the timestamp on the video is incorrect.

Detectives believe the two suspects may also be responsible for a similar burglary that occurred Tuesday at a Sprint Store in Beltsville.
Anyone who recognizes the suspects or has information about this burglary is asked to contact police at 240-773-550.
