Adamstown Man Identified As Victim In Fatal Collision In Rockville
Montgomery County Police identified a 46-year-old man as the victim in the Nov. 17 fatal collision on Medical Center Way in Rockville.
ROCKVILLE, MD — Montgomery County Police identified 46-year-old Paul Shinn of Adamstown, Maryland as the pedestrian struck and killed by a car during last Thursday morning, according to a release.
Personnel from the county's police and fire and rescue departments responded around 8:29 a.m., on Thursday, for the report of a collision between a car and a pedestrian in the area of Medical Center Way and Medical Center Drive in Rockville.
Detectives from the Collision Reconstruction Unit determined that Shinn was struck by a gray 2014 Nissan Altima heading westbound on Medical Center Way toward Shady Grove Hospital. At the time of the collision, Shinn was crossing Medical Center Way in a southbound direction. The driver of the Nissan remained on the scene, according to police.

Shinn was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries, of which he later succumbed.
