Woman hospitalized, several displaced in Rockville apartment complex fire (dcnewsnow.com) — Rockville residents at the Residences at Congressional Village were forced from eight apartments Saturday after a bedroom fire triggered sprinklers and caused significant fire and water damage. One older woman was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries as firefighters quickly contained the blaze, and investigators are still working to determine what started it.

FedEx Delivery Goes Awry As Man Steals $25K In Silver Bars (patch.com) — Montgomery County Police are asking Rockville residents for help identifying a man who allegedly stole $25,000 in silver bars during a FedEx delivery on Nadine Drive. Surveillance video shows the suspect posing as the recipient, accepting the package in the driveway before walking away, and investigators are urging anyone with information to contact Crime Solvers.
4. April 17 Daily Crime Summary: Burglaries, Auto Thefts, and Assaults Reported (mocoshow.com) — Rockville-area residents are being alerted to several recent crimes in the 1st District, including a commercial burglary on E. Gude Drive and a robbery on E. Middle Lane. Montgomery County Police also reported auto thefts, burglaries, and assaults in Silver Spring, Wheaton, Germantown, and Gaithersburg, emphasizing that the list does not cover every call for service.
5. Athol couple delivers 55 bikes to Maryland nonprofit, continues mission (atholdailynews.com) — A Maryland nonprofit based in Rockville recently received 55 donated bicycles from an Athol, Massachusetts couple who drove them down in a rented truck.
