ROCKVILLE, MD — El Patio, the Argentine restaurant boasting a mix of empanadas, lomitos and parrilla barbecues, has opened its second location in the county.
Residents now have the option to enjoy an Argentine speciality from El Patio's Traville Village Center branch in Rockville.
The eatery can be found at 9755 Traville Gateway Drive, near The Universities of Shady Grove. It officially opened Thursday.
The space, which had sat empty since 2020, was previously the home of Nantucket's Reef.
El Patio has operated in the county since the early 2000s, when it first opened on Twinbrook Parkway. The store later moved to its current location at 5240 Randolph Road.
Similar to its first location, the Traville Village Center site also includes a mini market toward the back of the restaurant.
Doors at the second location stay open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
On Friday and Saturday, diners can stop by from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday. The restaurant is closed on Wednesday.
