ROCKVILLE, MD — Popular health food grocer Sprouts Farmers Market is planning to open a third location in Montgomery County, according to a report.
Willard Retail confirmed to The MoCoShow that Sprouts will anchor the redevelopment project at the shopping center located at 5200-5296 Randolph Rd. in Rockville.
An opening date has not been announced.
Sprouts opened its first location in Montgomery County at Burtonsville Crossing in January 2024. The store is located at 15793 Old Columbia Pike.
Earlier this year, The MoCoShow also reported that Sprouts had signed on as one of the first tenants planned for the Lakeforest redevelopment in Gaithersburg.
Sprouts Farmers Market, which is headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, offers natural and organic foods, including fresh produce, bulk foods, packaged groceries, meat, poultry, seafood, deli, baked goods, dairy products and frozen foods.
The company operates nearly 500 stores across 25 states and is considered one of the fastest-growing specialty retailers in the U.S. health-food sector.
