The Maryland's Best Ice Cream Trail is fully underway, with multiple on-farm creameries joining the annual celebration of the state's dairy industry.
2026 marks the 14th year of the event, which was launched as part of an effort to connect residents with farmers and locally sourced products.
Running through Sept. 7, the trail includes 13 on-farm stops that span over 145 miles across the Old Line State. This year's participating sites are located in Harford, Montgomery, Worcester, Washington, Frederick, Kent, Prince George's, Baltimore, Garrett, Cecil and Talbot counties.
Residents who stop at the 13 farm sites will be entered to win the Maryland's Best Ice Cream Trailblazer Champion prize.

Individuals can also snag a free Maryland State Park pass by signing up for a Bandwango digital pass and checking in at each of the stops.
