Rockville Ranks Among Top 20 Safest Midsize Cities in U.S. (mocoshow.com) β Rockville has been ranked among the 20 safest midsize cities in the country, with violent and property crime rates well below recent FBI national averages. The study used Montgomery County data for traffic fatalities and disaster risk, and residents can review more detail in both the SmartAsset rankings and the Rockville City Police Department's latest annual report.

Essential water use request still in effect as crews work to fully restore operations at Potomac plant (mymcmedia.org) β A major power outage at WSSC's Potomac water filtration plant has prompted an ongoing request for essential-only water use across Montgomery and Prince George's counties, though storage levels are improving.
