ROCKVILLE, MD — If you're in the market for less spooky and more cutesy Halloween-themed fun, Rockville has an event this weekend that will deliver on both accounts.
A costumed dog parade will be held Saturday near the Mattie J.T. Stepanek Statue at 1800 Piccard Drive in Rockville.
The weekend event gets underway at 1 p.m., with the parade portion of the festivities stepping off at 1:45 p.m.
"Stop by for a 'howling' good time!" reads the event flyer. "There will be snacks for pups and people, prizes for best costumes, opportunities to meet local rescues, and more."
The event will be held rain or shine. Pets are required to be on a leash for the duration of the gathering.
