Anonymous Tipster Asked to Contact Authorities to Collect Reward

A call that led police to charge a Germantown woman in a September burglary qualifies the tipster for a reward.

An anonymous tipster who led Montgomery County Police to a suspect charged in a home burglary is eligible for a Crime Stoppers reward and must contact authorities to collect.

Montgomery County Police recently arrested Jenise Shakea Hart, 21, of the 13500 block of Demetrias Way in Germantown for a Sept. 15 burglary.

A Crime Solvers tip led police to Hart and the caller is eligible for a reward. Police ask that the person contact Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477) and provide his/her tip number.

A homeowner on Gate Dancer Lane called police Sept. 15 after finding a female suspect, now identified as Hart, inside the home. Hart fled from the house after she was confronted by the homeowner.

On October 2, police released photographs of the suspect and asked anyone who recognized her to call police detectives. That same day, detectives received an anonymous tip that the suspect in the photographs was Hart.

Hart was arrested at her home on Oct. 8 and charged with one count of first-degree burglary and being a fugitive from justice. Hart posted a $10,000 bond on the first-degree burglary charge and was ordered held without bond on the fugitive from justice charge.
