Back To School In Rockville: MCPS 2022-23 School Calendar

ROCKVILLE, MD — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Rockville with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in Montgomery County Public Schools.

The first day of school for most students in kindergarten through 12th grade in Montgomery County is Aug. 29.

Here is the list of dates to know for this school year:

Montgomery County Public Schools

• First Day: Aug. 29
• Thanksgiving Break: Early dismissal Nov. 21-22 and buildings closed Nov. 23-25
• Winter Break: Dec. 23 - Jan. 2
• Spring Break: March 31-April 10
• Last Day: June 16 pending any snow days
