Billy Jonas Band to Play Two Shows at Rockville Synagogue

Two musical concerts by the Billy Jonas Band will take place at Tikvat Israel Congregation in Rockville, Md., on Sunday, March 19. A 4 p.m. program is intended for families with children of all ages. The 7:30 p.m. concert is programmed for those teen-age and older. (The 4 pm concert is co-sponsored by Tikvat Israel Congregation & PJ Library.)

For 25 years, Billy Jonas, a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and educator based in Asheville, N.C., has perfected the art of the neo-tribal hootenanny. Using voice, guitar and industrial re-percussion, each concert is a soul-spelunking, heart healing, joy-filled journey. Cantor Rochelle Helzner will perform with the band during the evening concert.
