Blood Drive to Honor Slain Officer Noah Leotta
The Montgomery County Police Department and the Red Cross will hold the drive June 1 in Gaithersburg. Sign up in advance to donate.

GAITHERSBURG, MD — A blood drive will be held Wednesday, June 1, in honor of slain Montgomery County Police Officer Noah Leotta.
The American Red Cross blood drive will be held in the first floor conference room of the Montgomery County Public Safety Headquarters, 100 Edison Park Drive in Gaithersburg. The drive will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
You must register in advance to donate. Sign up online or by calling the Red Cross at 240.676.9955.

Donors will receive food or coupons from Chick-fil-A and Bruster’s Ice Cream.
Leotta, 24, was hit Dec. 3, 2015, by a car on Rockville Pike; he died a week later. The driver charged with fatally striking Leotta – while he was working as part of a holiday task force fighting drunk driving – pleaded guilty May 18 to a manslaughter charge.
Suspect Luis Gustavo Reluzco, 47, of Olney, had been arrested twice before for drunk driving and has a previous conviction for drug possession.
