Arrest Made After Woman's Body Found Outside Rockville Church

ROCKVILLE, MD — A suspect has been arrested after a woman's body was found outside a church in Rockville Friday night, Montgomery County Police said. The homicide investigation is ongoing.

At about 6 p.m. Friday, units responded to the report of an assault that had occurred in front of Saint Raphael Catholic Church and School. When Montgomery County Police arrived at 1513 Dunster Rd., they found a woman suffering from trauma to her upper body. She died from her injuries at the scene, authorities said.

Detectives are working to confirm the victim's identity. The body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.

Further information on the suspect has not been released by police.
