Corey Arceneaux and the Zydeco Hot Peppers
Louisiana-born accordionist and bandleader Corey Arceneaux grew up steeped in Zydeco, inspired by his great-uncles Rodney Bernard and Fernest Arceneaux and guided by mentor Buckwheat Zydeco (Stanley Dural Jr.). With five studio albums and performances at festivals, clubs, and Mardi Gras balls worldwide, Corey and his band bring authentic Louisiana flavor wherever they go.
A longtime radio DJ, Corey hosts “Hot Sauce Saturday” on KFXZ/Z105.9 FM (9 a.m.–2 p.m. CT), promoting Zydeco and Creole culture to a global audience. Now based in Virginia, he’s joined by Ben Holmes (drums), Doug Bell (guitar), Gene Monroe (bass), and Pat Clark (frottoir)—seasoned musicians with deep roots in Louisiana and DC-area music scenes.
Together, Corey Arceneaux and the Zydeco Hot Peppers serve up high-energy performances that keep dance floors moving and Louisiana spirit alive from the DMV to the world.
