Justin Trawick has been a staple of the Washington, DC-area music scene and the East Coast touring circuit since 2006, blending folk, Americana, and roots influences drawn from artists like Bob Schneider, Greensky Bluegrass, The Tallest Man on Earth, G. Love, Old Crow Medicine Show, and David Gray. His songwriting earned “Song of the Year” at the Washington Area Music Awards in 2014 for “All the Places That I’ve Been,” and he has since released multiple solo records alongside a growing catalog with his band, Justin Trawick and The Common Good.
The group’s releases include the single “Goodbye,” the Riverwash EP featuring Norah Jones guitarist Adam Levy, and a steady run of singles such as “I’m Doing Alright,” “These Days,” “Life in the Middle,” “Standing on the Edge,” and “Five and Dime,” with a full-length album in the works. Trawick has shared stages with acts like The Wallflowers, Suzanne Vega, Wyclef Jean, and Blues Traveler, and is the founder of the nationally touring “9 Songwriter Series” and co-founder of “The Circus Life Podcast.”

Multi-instrumentalists Neel Brown and John Seebach have brought their brothers-from-another-mother vocal harmonies to DMV audiences for nearly 20 years, fronting the dive-bar caveman bluegrass band Only Lonesome, the modern string band Big Chimney, and their most recent electric honky-tonk project, the Feckless Country Band. For this show, they’ll be performing distilled versions of some of their favorite songs from each of these bands.

The group offers a mix of original songs plus reinterpretations of classic country, bluegrass and roots material. Dede is a nationally recognized vocalist while Randy is a well-established singer songwriter and banjoist. Together with Ira Gitlin on bass and Tom McLaughlin on mandolin, Big Howdy sounds unlike any other band. And that's the way they like it.

Swedish-born bluesman Robert Lighthouse has spent decades immersed in the raw traditions of Mississippi Delta blues. Arriving in the U.S. at 18, he traveled through legendary blues hubs like Chicago’s Maxwell Street and New Orleans before settling in Washington, DC in 1988, where he built a devoted following as a street performer and club musician.
A two-time DC representative at the Blues Foundation’s International Blues Challenge, Robert released his acclaimed debut Drive-Thru Love in 1998, followed by Deep Down in the Mud in 2007, both earning strong critical praise. His sound is deeply rooted, soulful, and unmistakably authentic.
Bassist Randy Ball anchors the trio with a rich blend of blues and swing, performing regularly across Maryland and collaborating with groups including The Hi-Jivers and B&amp;B Swing.
Drummer&nbsp;Paul Dudley&nbsp;is a highly regarded professional drummer based in the Washington, D.C./DMV region. He is best known for his deep pocket and versatile style, performing regularly with the award-winning funk, blues, and soul band Sol Roots and the instrumental jazz/fusion group Vinyl Horizon

Bassist, composer and luthier, Scott Ambush has been performing since the age of twelve. A native Marylander, Scott began playing electric bass when he discovered that the drum slot in the band he wanted to join was filled. Scott has no regrets. Scott has performed on stage and in studio with a veritable who’s who of the DC/MD/VA music scene; saxaphonists Tim Eyerman, Marshall Keys, and Al Williams, Singer/songwriters, Jon Carroll and Mary Ann Redmond, Guitarists, Carl Filipiak, Alan Scott and Michael Fath, and even the legendary Root Boy Slim. In addition, Scott has played hundreds, if not thousands, of Jazz, Pop, R&amp;B, and Funk gigs throughout the region,&nbsp;especially adept at performing or filling in on short notice.&nbsp; As a member of contemporary jazz super group, Spyro Gyra, he has garnered five Grammy nominations, and has become widely known for his versatility, sensitivity and lyrical playing. Scott is equally at home in a wide range of musical contexts, having played with such luminaries as Stanley Turrentine, Dizzy Gillespie, Omar Hakim and Special EFX. He has backed R&amp;B jazz instrumentalists, Chuck Loeb, Kirk Whalum, and Pieces of a Dream; R&amp;B vocalists Maysa Leak and Angela Bofill, as well as award winning Blues artist Deanna Bogart. Whether doing live dates or recording projects with Deanna Bogart, Jason Miles, Teresa DeSio (Italy), Misato Watanabe (Japan) or renowned Bollywood composer and producer, Sandeep Chowta, Mr. Ambush's varied experiences have served him well. When not touring with Spyro Gyra, Mr. Ambush fronts his own group, and designs, builds and sells the custom bass guitars that carry his name.&nbsp;

INTERIOR DESIGN WAREHOUSE LIQUIDATION!...

Hank Dietle’s has been a labor of love for fans of the county’s oldest licensed bar for many years, serving up cold beer and warm memories since the 1916 store reopened as Hank Dietle’s Tavern in 1950. As development pressures were wiping out history along the pike, longtime fan Tony Huniak took over in 1990 to keep our beloved bar going. When the Quarry House burned in 2015, Tony welcomed Rockabilly Saturday Night to a new venue on the pike, carving out space for dancing in a homey social setting that proved a perfect fit for fans of live roots &amp; retro music. After Hank Dietle’s suffered a devastating fire in February 2018, fans rallied again to save the irreplaceable roadhouse. Chantal “Kiti” Gartner set up a Go Fund Me website to help the out of work employees and teamed with Mark Segraves and others to organize a benefit concert to launch a reconstruction effort. Thanks to their tireless efforts and many fans who contributed, the roof was repaired, the porch rebuilt, critical electrical work done, and interior walls rebuilt. Building on their efforts, three devotees of the historic tavern, Tommy Bowes, Sarah Bonner, and Alan Kresse, along with Gina Cocco, Lisa White, and Tom Helf, teamed up to complete work on the interior, recreate our beloved “Hank Dietle’s Cold Beer” sign, and get the institution rolling again. All are long-time supporters of Maryland’s live music and dance scene—musicians, promoters and entrepreneurs dedicated to ensuring that Hank Dietle’s rides again.
