Weather Report changed the sound of jazz fusion, blending jazz, rock, funk, Latin rhythms, and global influences into music that was adventurous, powerful, and impossible to categorize.
Founded by Joe Zawinul and Wayne Shorter and featuring bass legend Jaco Pastorius, Weather Report gave us enduring classics including “Birdland,” from the landmark album Heavy Weather.
Come hear the deep grooves, soaring solos, atmospheric textures, and unforgettable melodies that made Weather Report one of the most thrilling live bands of its era.

Founded by Greenbelt's Ed Crowley, Fast Eddie &amp; The Slowpokes debuted at the DC Blues Society's Annual Fish Fry and Blues Show and won the Society's Battle of the Bands the following year, earning a spot at the 2013 International Blues Challenge in Memphis. In 2016 they took the Society's "Memphis or Bust Battle of the Bands" and advanced to the semi-finals in Memphis against 187 bands — a run that landed them on stage at the Kennedy Center in March 2017.
The Slowpokes are regulars at the Greenbelt and Colonial Beach Blues Festivals and at venues from the New Deal Cafe and Old Bowie Town Grille to rooms in Baltimore, Columbia, and Northern Virginia. They've headlined Pearl Street Warehouse at The Wharf and The Hamilton, played the Blues Cruise on the Susquehanna, and toured as far as Philadelphia, Richmond, Winchester, and the Maryland-Delaware beaches.

The trio’s main goal is to create reactionary improvised music across the complete musical spectrum. Although most of the group’s repertoire is from the jazz canon it is by no means limited to that genre, borrowing from folk, rock, blues, and avant-garde. With equal parts of finesse and energy, the trio creates an irresistible musical experience.

Great soul and R&amp;B music have traditionally been rich with passionate singers and horn sections, but both have been disappearing into the musical mists of time for at least the past half-century. But then there is Andrew Duncanson—belting out his songs and taking notes in juke joints from California to the European continent for more than twenty years and reaching deep into that primeval source, adding his own deeply soulful voice to the music. When it comes to songwriting, he takes pride in having well over 100 of his songs recorded. Hank Dietle’s has been a labor of love for fans of the county’s oldest licensed bar for many years, serving up cold beer and warm memories since the 1916 store reopened as Hank Dietle’s Tavern in 1950. As development pressures were wiping out history along the pike, longtime fan Tony Huniak took over in 1990 to keep our beloved bar going. When the Quarry House burned in 2015, Tony welcomed Rockabilly Saturday Night to a new venue on the pike, carving out space for dancing in a homey social setting that proved a perfect fit for fans of live roots &amp; retro music. After Hank Dietle’s suffered a devastating fire in February 2018, fans rallied again to save the irreplaceable roadhouse. Chantal “Kiti” Gartner set up a Go Fund Me website to help the out of work employees and teamed with Mark Segraves and others to organize a benefit concert to launch a reconstruction effort. Thanks to their tireless efforts and many fans who contributed, the roof was repaired, the porch rebuilt, critical electrical work done, and interior walls rebuilt. Building on their efforts, three devotees of the historic tavern, Tommy Bowes, Sarah Bonner, and Alan Kresse, along with Gina Cocco, Lisa White, and Tom Helf, teamed up to complete work on the interior, recreate our beloved “Hank Dietle’s Cold Beer” sign, and get the institution rolling again. All are long-time supporters of Maryland’s live music and dance scene—musicians, promoters and entrepreneurs dedicated to ensuring that Hank Dietle’s rides again.
