Toe-tappin’ bluegrass and classic country from one of the DMV’s most engaging acoustic bands.
Michelle Murray & No Part of Nothin’ bring tight harmonies, standout musicianship, original songwriting, and plenty of great stories to the stage. Based in the Maryland/Washington, DC area, the band blends traditional bluegrass and classic-country favorites with a lively, personable show led by some of the region’s finest pickers.
The group began when a few musicians met at a monthly bluegrass jam, sang together on a couple of tunes, and decided to enter the DC Bluegrass Union Festival band contest. The rest, as they say, is history.

The band has earned airplay on Bluegrass Country Radio, The Bluegrass Jamboree, and WAMU’s Open Mic program. They perform throughout the DC metropolitan area and have appeared at respected venues and festivals including The Birchmere, Union Stage, The State Theatre, Creative Cauldron, the Sultana Downrigging Festival, Circa Blue Festival, and the Takoma Park Folk Festival. At Circa Blue, they opened for legendary bluegrass innovators The Seldom Scene.
Named a Washington Area Music Awards (Wammie) finalist for Best Bluegrass Band in both 2020 and 2021, No Part of Nothin’ has also released A Few Toe Tappin’ Tunes, an EP sampler available on major digital platforms and Bandcamp.
