Car Crashes Through Front of Rockville Building

Two people inside a car suffered minor injuries when it plowed through a building entrance.

ROCKVILLE, MD — Two people suffered minor injuries when their car plowed through the front entrance of a Rockville office building Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.

The accident happened about 2 p.m. at 152 Rollins Ave., according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services spokesman Pete Piringer.

He told Montgomery Community Media a passerby notified a nearby fire house that “a car ran into the building down the street.”

Structural damage to the building was minimal and nobody inside the building was hurt, Piringer said.

A building inspector was called to determine the structural damage.

There’s no word on what caused the driver to veer off the street and into the building.
