Charles E. Smith Life Communities Breaks Ground on New Senior Facility
New senior facility will serve people with Alzheimer's disease and other memory issues.

U.S. Rep. Christopher Van Hollen Jr. (D-Dist. 8) of Kensington delivered the keynote address at the groundbreaking of the Cohen-Rosen House on Tuesday in Rockville.
Located at 1801 East Jefferson St., the Cohen-Rosen House will become part of the Charles E. Smith Life Communities senior living campus in Rockville, which presently includes six buildings offering assisted and independent living for seniors, longterm care and rehabilitation and outpatient medical services.

"The Cohen-Rosen House will provide a safe and caring home for people with Alzheimer’s disease and other memory issues,” Van Hollen said in a news release. “For 100 years, the Charles E. Smith Life Communities has provided outstanding and compassionate care for seniors in our area. This new facility will continue to ensure people live with the support that they need and the dignity that they deserve.”
