City Of Rockville: Veterans Day In Rockville Brings Closures And A Salute To Those Who Served

Rockville, Maryland, Nov. 5 – Several city facilities will be closed for Veterans Day, Thursday, Nov. 11, when the city will honor veterans of our nation’s armed forces with its annual Veterans Day ceremony.

City government, the Rockville Senior Center, Glenview Mansion, the Rockville Civic Center business office, and the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre box office will be closed.

Theater tickets are always available at www.rockvillemd.gov/theatre.
Croydon Creek Nature Center will be open 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
All other city facilities will open as usual.
Recycling, trash and yard waste normally collected on Thursdays will be collected Friday, Nov. 12. For more information, visit www.rockvillemd.gov/recycling-trash or call 240-314-8568.
Parking will be free at city-owned meters.

A reception will follow at American Legion Post 86, 2013 Veirs Mill Road.
