Clarksburg Premium Outlets Plans Grand Opening Festivities
Management for Clarksburg Premium Outlets has released the events lineup for its Oct. 27-29 grand opening at the shopping center.
CLARKSBURG, MD — Clarksburg Premium Outlets, which will open 90 stores in a week, has announced the lineup of events for the grand opening of the 392,000-square-foot, two-story venue. Activities include hourly prize giveaways, a trick-or-treat event and costume parade for kids on Saturday, jugglers, face-painting, live bands and more.
Area shoppers are invited to join the celebration Thursday, Oct. 27, through Saturday, Oct. 29. Throughout the weekend, shoppers can explore the LEED-certified luxury outlet center and enjoy an abundance of deep discounts, live entertainment, family festivities and prize giveaways.
The venue will offer shoppers a mix of fashion-forward luxury looks, accessories and home décor, all with everyday savings of 25 to 65 percent. Visitors can expect to find 90 upscale brands and eateries, a community space with covered walkways and children’s play area.

Clarksburg Premium Outlets is located at I-270 and Clarksburg Road.
“It will be a destination, destination shopping,” Marilyn Balcombe, president and CEO of the Gaithersburg-Germantown Chamber of Commerce, told Montgomery Community Media.

The grand opening weekend lineup includes:
Thursday, October 27
Grand Opening Ceremony, 9:30 a.m. – 10 a.m. at Center Court near the fountains. State and local officials, including Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett, Council member Craig Rice and Simon Premium Outlets CEO Steve Yalof and others, are scheduled to attend.
Live Entertainment
10 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Location: Entertainment Stage near Gap Outlet

2:35 p.m. and 5:10 p.m.:
Lloyd Dobler Effect, an energetic band that fuses modern rock with Latin rhythms and go-go beats.

Sound Connection, an internationally award- winning, 10-piece party band that will spice up any shopping expedition!

Safe Trick-or-Treating and Costume Parade
6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Children can pick up a trick or treat bag on Low Street by Market Hall and then visit the Halloween Stations located throughout the mall to receive their treats. The Halloween Costume Parade will begin at 8 p.m. at the Entertainment Stage on Low Street.
Saturday, October 29

5 p.m. and 7:15 p.m.:
Southern City Band, a northeast staple country band, performing popular, tightly crafted lyrics and upbeat performances.
6:15 p.m. and 8:15 p.m.:
Rhythm 6, a high-energy, 7-piece band entertaining shoppers with classic and current hits.

Clarksburg Premium Outlets will host extended hours throughout the grand opening weekend. The center will be open from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. Thursday, October 27 – Saturday, October 29 and from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. on Sunday, October 30.
Beginning Monday, Oct. 31, Clarksburg Premium Outlets will be open from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m., Monday – Saturday, and from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., Sunday.
