Cooper's Hawk Winery To Open In Rockville

The region's newest Cooper's Hawk Winery and Restaurant will open in Rockville.

ROCKVILLE, MD — The fourth Cooper’s Hawk Winery in the region will open in Rockville, reports WTOP. The restaurant chain with in-house wineries and tasting rooms plans to locate in Fougler-Pratt’s Research Row at 1401 Research Blvd.

Cooper's Hawk produces wines with grapes from around the world; the business has other locations in Annapolis, Ashburn and Reston. The venue's blends include grapes grown and harvested in both New World and Old World regions including Italy, France, California, Chile, New Zealand and Australia.

The restaurant chain describes Cooper's Hawk as a combination of a casual, upscale restaurant with a winery, Napa-style tasting room and artisanal retail store. The menu of modern American dishes is designed to complement the eatery's award-winning wine collection, according to a news release.

There is no word on a targetopening date for the Rockville restaurant.

Cooper's Hawk also has one of the largest wine clubs in the country, and was named the "Breakout Brand" and "Hot Concept" by Nation's Restaurant News in 2016. To learn more about Cooper's Hawk, visit www.coopershawkwinery.com.

Signature menu items at other locations include Soy Ginger Salmon, Chicken Giardiniera, Asian Pork Belly Tostadas and Mexican Drunken Shrimp.

The wine of the month club offers subscribers monthly wines, special discounts, invitations to exclusive events, rewards, and annual domestic and international wine trips. Cooper's Hawk has received more than 350 awards from various local, national and international wine competitions.
