ROCKVILLE, MD — Police on Tuesday released photos of a sedan believed to be involved in a hit-and-run in Rockville that seriously injured a pedestrian.
The incident happened the morning of July 3, at the intersection of Twinbrook Parkway and Dowgate Court. A pedestrian — later identified as 60-year-old Jose Reyes Delcid, of Rockville — was crossing the street when he was struck by a vehicle, authorities said.
The father, who was on his way to work at the time, was flown to a hospital for treatment, his wife wrote on a GoFundMe page. She said Delcid suffered a severed spine, multiple fractures, and other serious injuries.

When Delcid was hit, the vehicle did not stop, authorities said. But a passing bus was able to catch the fleeing car on video.
