UPDATE: Elrich Coronavirus Presser Moves To Thursday Evening

Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich will give an update on COVID-19 at 6 p.m. on Thursday.

ROCKVILLE, MD — Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich has canceled Thursday afternoon's Facebook live event on the coronavirus (COVID-19). County leaders will now announce the latest COVID-19 developments at a news conference at 6 p.m. The presser can be streamed live on Facebook and the county's website.


(Original post) ROCKVILLE, MD — Instead of holding his monthly online resident chat, Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich will be hosting a Facebook live event about the new coronavirus (COVID-19) on Thursday.

The Facebook live event will take place from 1 to 2 p.m. and feature Dr. Travis Gayles.

Elrich and Gayles, the county's health officer and chief of Public Health Services, will be providing an update on virus, which has infected six residents as of Wednesday.
