County Accepting Applications To Fill Planning Board Vacancies

Residents interested in applying to be on Montgomery County's planning board should do so by 5 p.m. on April 24.

ROCKVILLE, MD — The Montgomery County Council is searching for residents interested in filling two vacancies on the county's planning board.

The second terms of Democrat Casey Anderson and Republican Norman Dreyfuss expire on June 14. Only Anderson is eligible to reapply as chair of the planning board, and has expressed his intent to do so. Residents of any political party affiliation can apply for either the chair or board member position.

Montgomery County officials are accepting applications until 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24. Applicants can submit a letter of interest and a resume (no more than four pages long) to county.council@montgomerycountymd.gov or to Council President Nancy Navarro at:

Each applicant must be a registered voter of Montgomery County when appointed, and can serve up to two four-year terms (except when applying for a third term as chair).
