Cricket Wireless Employee Assaulted As Daughter Colors Nearby: Police
Montgomery County Police say a Rockville man assaulted a Cricket Wireless Store employee while her daughter was coloring nearby.

ROCKVILLE, MD — Montgomery County Police arrested a Rockville man in connection with the robbery of a Cricket Wireless store last Saturday, in which an employee was assaulted while her daughter was coloring in the back of the store, according to a release.
Detectives determined that Craig Donnell Johnson entered the store located in the 2100 block of Veirs Mil Road around 4 p.m. After inquiring about a product, Johnson left the store, only to return about 15 minutes later, according to police.
When the employee went to the back of the store to retrieve a phone Johnson had inquired about, Johnson covered his face and followed her, according to police.

Putting the victim in a headlock, Johnson demanded money from the cash register, according to police. The victim's daughter was sitting at a table in the back of the store coloring. Johnson ordered the girl into the bathroom, took the register keys from the victim, and told her to go into the bathroom with her daughter.
When Johnson was unable to open the cash register, he ordered the victim out of bathroom, demanded she open the register, and then assaulted her again, according to police. He then left the store with an undisclosed amount of money.

Through their investigation, detectives identified Johnson as a suspect. They then arrested him on Wednesday, took him to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, and charged him with robbery and second degree assault, according to the release.
