Trapped Driver Rescued, Charged By Police After Crashing Into Home
A 67-year-old man was charged with traffic offenses after he was rescued Thursday from his truck that had crashed into a Rockville home.

ROCKVILLE, MD — Montgomery County Fire and Rescue extricated a 67-year-old man from his pickup truck on Thursday morning, after it had crashed into a Rockville home. The man was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
Initially, MCFRS personnel had to delay their rescue because the truck also struck a utility pole, knocking live power lines to the ground. PEPCO was called to the scene and turned off the power to facilitate the man's rescue.
Rockville City Police charged the man with multiple traffic offenses. The crash was described as an operator error and the man was identified as not being the homeowner of the house he crashed into.
