Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Birthday Tribute and Celebration

This Tribute and Musical Celebration at the Music Center at Strathmore follows the Martin Luther King Day of Service events held earlier in the day at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center.

This year's theme, "Continuing the Legacy…How will YOU Serve?" pays tribute to the life and works of Dr. King and its present day impact. There will be an awards ceremony and performances by Marcus Johnson; the 2010 winners of "How Sweet the Sound," Men of Valor; Gospel jazz saxophonist, Brian Lenair and many others.

Additionally, a county-wide food drive to benefit the Manna Food Center will be collecting non-perishable food items to distribute to those in need.

This event is free but tickets are required and are available on a limited basis.
