Glamour, Glitter, Glitz is a juried exhibition featuring original works by members of Complex Weavers, an international organization of advanced handweavers. On display in the Kaplan Gallery will be a diverse range of apparel, home furnishings and three-dimensional art objects employing complex weave structures which interface threads and fibers that dazzle, shimmer and shine.
VisArts is pleased to promote the work of textile artists by hosting the Glamour, Glitter, Glitz exhibition in conjunction with the Complex Weavers Seminars 2012 and the Textile Society of America biennial conferences. The keynote address will be delivered in the Buchanan Room at VisArts by Patrice George, Assistant Professor, Textile Development and Marketing, Fashion Institute of Technology.
