Welcome to Baltimore, 1962! The '50s are gone and Tracy Turnblad's world is changing. Tracy wants to dance and is thrilled to win an appearance on 'The Corny Collins Show'. In a flash, Tracy changes from being a social pariah to local TV celebrity. Can a big-haired and bigger-hearted Tracy win the Miss Teenage Hairspray Competition, capture the attention of teen heartthrob Link Larkin, and racially integrate a television show all without denting her 'do? This show is lively from start to finish with great songs including You Can't Stop the Beat, Run and Tell That!, Big, Blonde, and Beautiful, Good Morning Baltimore, (It's) Hairspray, and more!
