Want to learn more about the classical compositions for piano, violin and cello? Come to this wonderful Chinese New Year concert where we present the Rome Piano Trio.
The Rome Piano Trio includes talented Cathoilic Univeristy of America faculty members Jody Gatwood, violin, Michael Mermagen, cello, and Ivo Kaltchev, piano. They are accomplished musicians and will share their favorite pieces: they will perform the romantic, lyrical style of Elegie op23 by Joseph Suk, Suk's not often heard Trio in C minor, and Dumky op.90 by Dvorak. In addition to that, Dr. Kaltchev will perform well loved piano pieces-- 3 Preludes by Debussy to celebrate his 150 anniversary of birth and 3 Preludes by Gershwin.
