Rockville's newest work of public art, the "Spirit of Discovery," by artists Bonnie Fitzgerald and Ali Mirsky, is scheduled to be installed on the lawn of City Hall.
Both artist will attend the installation of the second piece of the display, a sculpture of a young girl looking up at a nebula mosaic through a telescope. The first part, a 170 square foot glass mosaic depicting a spinning nebula, was installed in November.
In case of inclement weather, the installation will be held Friday, Dec. 17.
