Exxon Robber In Rockville Caught On Surveillance: Police

Police need the public's help finding a robber who stole money and property from an Exxon gas station in Rockville.

ROCKVILLE, MD — A robber who stole money and property from an Exxon gas station in Rockville was captured on surveillance video, which Montgomery County Police have released in hopes that the public can help identify the thief.

At about 12:15 a.m. on Dec. 5, police were called to 5500 Norbeck Rd. to investigate a robbery that had just happened. According to investigators, the suspect entered the Exxon gas station and approached a male employee who was working behind the counter.

The suspect, whose face was covered, implied he was armed and demanded cash from the employee, police said. The robber reportedly stole money and property and fled on foot.

Police ask anyone with information regarding this suspect or robbery to call the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5070. Those who wish to remain anonymous can call the county's Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). A cash reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.
