Former Student Arrested For Bringing Firearm To Rockville High School
Rockville City Police arrested a former student who they say brought a firearm to the Richard Montgomery High School campus on Tuesday.

ROCKVILLE, MD — Rockville City Police charged a former Richard Montgomery High School student on Tuesday afternoon for possession of a firearm on school grounds, according to a post on the department's official Twitter account.
Around 2:45 p.m., security personnel notified the school's community engagement officer that a former student was seen on campus possibly with a handgun. Police were contacted and the student was located about a block from the school and taken into custody. Police say the juvenile was carrying a firearm.
A preliminary investigation police determined that the incident was not related to the Jan. 13 lockdown at the same school.

Rockville City Police are coordinating their investigation with officials at the school and Montgomery County Public Schools to ensure the safety of the campus.
