Four Sent to Hospital After Car Crashes into Office

A receptionist in a Rockville office building was trapped under a desk by debris from the accident, firefighters say.

An office receptionist was trapped under a desk and debris when a car plowed into a Rockville building Thursday morning, authorities said.

Pete Piringer, spokesman for Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services, said via Twitter that four people were taken to area hospitals following the mishap. None of the injuries were believed to be life-threatening, he said.

The accident happened at the Saratoga Building, 11820 Parklawn Drive. Officials say a car crashed into the office from an adjacent parking garage.

Besides the four people taken to hospitals, six other patients were checked out by EMS workers at the scene.
