Gaithersburg Man Identified As Victim In Aspen Hill Fatal Collision
A 30-year-old Gaithersburg man died after the car he was driving struck another vehicle Sunday morning in Aspen Hill, according to police.

ASPEN HILL, MD — On Monday, Montgomery County Police identified 30-year-old Eddy Thomas Jara of Gaithersburg as the victim in a two-vehicle collision that occurred Sunday morning in Aspen Hill, according to a release.
MCDP officers and units from the Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Service responded around 7:23 a.m. on Sunday, for the report of a collision involving two vehicles in the area of Muncaster Mill Road and Sycamore Lane, according to the release.
Through their investigation, police determined that Jara was traveling westbound on Muncaster Mill Road, when his black 2015 Honda Civic crossed the center line and collided with an eastbound silver 2004 Ford Escape.

Jara was pronounced dead on the scene, according to police. The driver and front-seat passenger in the Ford Escape were taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
